Rebel, our Foundation male, never strayed far from the winners circle achieving over 1200 Challenge points and in excess of 80 In Group/In Show Awards at both All Breeds and Speciality level. He was a Mega Multiple Best Exhibit in Group winner, along with many other prestigious awards just too numerous to mention.

Some notable career highlights included:

1994, 1995 & 1996 - Number 1 Rhodesian Ridgeback in Victoria - HCV Inc.

1995 - RRC Inc. All Ages Pointscore [Runners-up in RR of the Year Competition]

1996 - RRA Inc. Annual Achievement Award

January 1998 - First Rhodesian Ridgeback to be awarded into the elite class of Grand Championship status in Victoria

However, we all know that the mark of a good dog is, his progeny, who together were awarded Best Sire and Progeny at Specialty level. Rebel although sparingly used at stud produced 5 quality champions who are multiple BISS, RUBISS, multiple class in show, multiple best gaited and headed winners. Their All Breeds records are also very impressive with a Hound specialty RUBIS and mega Best in Group & Class in show awards. His Grand & Great-Grand progeny are also extremely successful in the showring, thanks to the special calibre of dogs such as Rebel in their pedigrees.

Rebel produced true to type, sound progeny, all blessed with his strengths including his impeccable movement, topline and confident temperament. He was such an affectionate, devoted, although somewhat boisterous male, who adored life and all that it held -- he is dearly missed by all at Ozrhode, but his legacy lives on through his children, grand, great grand and great-great grand kids, who demonstrate that "Rebel glint" in their eyes.
